Empowering Demsa Communities for a Thriving Farming Season!

Empowering Demsa Communities for a Thriving Farming Season!
Sequel to last week’s engagement on peace building, catchment management planning, and community engagement with Communities on the 6,000-hectare irrigation project, Adamawa ACReSAL staff returned to Demsa Community today to distribute power tillers and essential farm inputs to 28 communities benefiting from the project.
A total of 820 community members received seeds, fertilizers, and mechanized support in form of power tiklers to help them prepare for the coming wet season farming. This marks a significant step in ensuring sustainable agriculture and improved livelihoods for farmers in the communities of interest.
State Project Coordinator of ACReSAL Dr Chinda Dami Ibrahim said during the distribution that “this is just the beginning! As the irrigation project kicks off, communities around the project area will continue to benefit from various interventions aimed at enhancing productivity and food security.”
