Today the Project Coordinator of ACReSAL in Adamawa state Dr Ibrahim D Chinda Presents Awards to the Governor
Today the Project Coordinator of ACReSAL in Adamawa state Dr Ibrahim D Chinda was accompanied by the Adamawa State Commissioners of Environment and Agriculture and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Development Partners to present to the governor the Awards the state got in the year ended 2004 by the World bank and the National coordinating office of the Project in Abuja.
Adamawa state came joint first place with Gombe state among the 19 northern states & the FCT participating in the ACRESAL project!
The ACRESAL project is presently the biggest intervention by the world bank in the environment globally.
Adamawa state was judged first in the following criteria’s; Innovation, Community-Driven approach, Number of Beneficiaries Affected by the Project, Implementation Progress, Hectares of Land Recovered through Afforestation and Support for Identified beneficiaries!
The Governor enjoined them to maintain the tempo and do more as nothing less than excellence is expected from citizens of Adamawa in all spheres of life!
