Exciting News from Adamawa! 🌱
We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking initiative by ACReSAL that is set to transform agriculture in Adamawa State! 🚜💚
In partnership with the Adamawa government and generous supporters, ACReSAL has secured 250 hectares of land for the practice of regenerative agriculture. This land is now available to over 500 dedicated farmers, including many who were previously displaced and had no access to farmland.
These farmers, like Aisha Gaga, have undergone extensive training in regenerative agriculture techniques such as:
🌾 Raising seedlings
💧 Constructing micro-watersheds (half-moons and zais)
🍂 Mulching
🌽 Cultivating multiple crops around water conservation structures
Aisha’s journey from subsistence farming and selling kola nuts to feeding her family and selling vegetables from her demo plot is just one inspiring example of what’s possible with the right support and knowledge.
With one hectare each to cultivate for the next ten years, these farmers are ready to rejuvenate this dry landscape into a thriving, productive, and sustainable agricultural hub. 🌍✨
Join us in celebrating this significant milestone and supporting the continued growth and success of these resilient farmers. Together, we can achieve sustainable development and food security for all. 🙌🌾
