Adamawa State Acresal Presents Brand New Toyota Hilux Vehicle to State Ministry of Environment.

The Adamawa state Project ple.entqtion Unit has presented the state ministry of environment with a brand new Toyota Hilux vehicle as part of its mandate to strengthen relevant institutions.

Keys to the vehicle were presented by Adamawa state ACReSAL Project Coordinator Dr Chinda Dami Ibrahim and received by the commissioner of environment Mohammed Sadiq and the Permanent Secretary.

While presenting the vehicle which is to aid the supervising ministry see to the successful implementation of the project, Dr Chinda said the vehicle was procured for the ministry because of the pivotal role it plays in the overall successful of the ACReSAL project and urged that it should be used judiciously for the purpose which it was meant.

The commissioner for environment expressed his delight at ACReSAL’s gesture and promised that the vehicle will be utilised optimally by the ministry. He thereafter proceeded for a ceremonial test drive of the vehicle.

One of the four main components of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project is to strengthen relevant institutions and this gesture follows an earlier installation of a 10kva solar plant at the ministry of environment to help shore up energy needs made apparent by frequent power cuts.
